Sister and Friendship Cities Events held at Nagoya Festival 2012

Sister and Friendship Cities Goodwill Missions Welcome Reception

We held a Sister and Friendship Cities Goodwill Missions Welcome Reception at the Westin Nagoya Castle to welcome all of Nagoya's friends from its sister cities on October 19. Participants enjoyed performances by the Aichi Warring States Princess Troupe and the Nisei Week Queen and Court from Los Angeles, as well as dishes from sister and friendship cities.

Sister City Festival 2012

The Sister City Festival 2012 was held at Oasis 21 on October 20 and 21. A Mexican Folk Costume Fashion Show was performed by university students in Nagoya. Ms. Maureen Flower, an artist from Sydney entertained spectators with her songs on stage. The Nisei Week Queen and Court from Los Angeles also performed a lovely dance.

Sister and Friendship Cities Goodwill Parade

The Sister and Friendship Cities Goodwill Parade was held on October 21 as a part of the Nagoya Festival Parade. Representatives from sister and friendship cities joined in the parade from Nagoya City Hall to Yaba-cho.
